Order of Worship

of Christ Our Redeemer Church

Worship that is Word-driven, Christ-focused, and authentic.

Worship at Christ Our Redeemer is driven by three factors: the Word of God, the honor of Christ, and the authentic connection of believers – past, present, and future.

The Bible is our guide for how our worship is structured. Therefore, the songs we sing, many of which our hymns and psalms, resonate with biblical truth. Our times of prayerful confession, our weekly celebration of the Lord’s Table, and our focus on preaching all demonstrate a Word-driven, biblical sound worship experience.

The Bible, however, is not an end to itself. It is guiding to someone – the person of Jesus Christ. Our Sunday worship service seeks to exalt the risen Savior and King. Consequently, we sing of His love, we pray in His name, we celebrate His sacrifice in Communion, and we learn of His truth through the preaching of His Word.

Worship at Christ Our Redeemer is also authentic. We base our structure and participation in both the biblical text and the larger Christian tradition of history. When we worship, we worship together. Everyone. All the moms, dads, kids, grandparents, and singles – all of us together. That might seem a bit unsettling for the parents of little ones. We have a place in the back for those who might have a hard time sitting still.

Below is a model of our order of worship in which God calls His people to celebrate their salvation and to renew their covenant relationship with Him.  This order of worship is arranged to reflect a biblical way of seeking our Lord:

CALLED INTO THE LORD’S PRESENCE
CLEANSED AND FORGIVEN BY THE LORD’S GRACE
CONSECRATED BY THE LORD’S WORD
CHRIST COMMUNES WITH US AT HIS TABLE
BLESSED AND COMMISSIONED BY CHRIST:
SENT OUT TO SERVE OUR KING IN HIS WORLD!
